Montreal police are investigating a fatal shooting in downtown Montreal on Wednesday night.
The victim was identified as 29-year-old Bruce A. Shaw. He was shot three times in the head and died in the street shortly after being transported to hospital. Shaw was a resident of the 1800 block of Montrose Street West.
The shooting occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
Police have not determined a motive for the shooting or other details of the event.
Security cameras inside Shaw’s neighbourhood captured police officers outside a vehicle from what appears to be the suspect’s side.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s who is six feet tall and was wearing a dark coat.
The killer’s vehicle was also seen leaving the scene.
Police believe the victim knew his attacker.
Multiple police units are in the area, including the tactical and emergency intervention units.
