PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A member of Mark Kelly’s family said the former Philadelphia police commissioner and congressman is “doing the same thing, but worse” when he tells the truth.

Former Philadelphia Police Commissioner Mark Kelly, who was on hand for Thursday’s rally, took over the microphone after a man in the crowd had started shouting “I am the president today!” and “You’re not,” as his microphone was cut off.

The man in the audience responded with his own shout, “All I did was speak the truth,” which was greeted by cheers and laughter from the crowd.

“I’m just telling the truth,” Kelly said, adding that he told “real people” the truth about the immigration policy that Trump signed shortly after taking office.

“So you want me to be afraid of the President of the United States,” Kelly said, to loud cheers and applause from the crowd. “That’s a different story, OK? That’s a different story.”

A woman sitting at Kelly’s feet — with her hand over her mouth — shouted back: “You don’t know anything about his presidency.”

She was escorted out by police and a man holding a microphone tried to shout to her back for “not to yell in public.”

“You want to talk about fear,” he warned. “I’m not afraid of him.”

At Kelly’s feet, a man in a wheelchair also shouted to him that he was a Republican and a Democrat and wanted him to know he could not
